Koalas are known for being sleepy creatures. They can sleep up to 18-20 hours a day! This is because eucalyptus leaves provide very little energy. The rest of the time, they climb trees, eat leaves, or hug branches while resting.
Although they look like teddy bears, koalas are not bears at all! They are unique animals with a peaceful and calm lifestyle. Unfortunately, their homes are in danger because of deforestation and wildfires. By learning about koalas, we can help protect them and their habitats.
